Here is a program written for my son when he was preparing SAT test.

It is self-learning at individual pace. Learn in front of your PC for 30 minutes to one hour each time.

It uses an honor system. Knowing weak point and improving on it is a lifetime skill.

It is not a game. There is nothing to beat, but to increase you vocabularies.

It identifies the vocabularies that are not positively understood.

It reviews those identified vocabularies often until they are positively understood.

Following progress information is available:

  1. Total vocabularies available for this program.
    A list of available vocabularies is randomly arranged for your learning at first time you use this program.
  2. Number of vocabularies you have reviewed.
    This number shows how many vocabularies you have studied. Those vocabularies include repeats of “weak” ones.
  3. Total time you use this program.
    This shows the time you have spent with this program. If you have a target date, such as a test date, for the learning progress, this can help you to adjust your pace of learning.
  4. Number of words that you misunderstand.
    This number tells how many vocabularies you thought you knew but otherwise. Those vocabularies are “weak” for you. They will be selected repeatedly several times for your study to help you know them.
  5. Number of vocabularies that are not sure you know.
    This number tells how many vocabularies you are not sure you know. Those vocabularies are “weak” for you. They will be selected repeatedly several times for your study to help you know them.
  6. Number of vocabularies that you do not know.
    This number tells how many vocabularies you do not know. Those vocabularies are “weak” for you. They will be selected repeatedly several times for your study to help you know them.
  7. Number of vocabularies that you know.
    This number tells how many vocabularies you know.
  8. Number of vocabularies that you are about to know.
    This number tells how many vocabularies for the last confirmation for you to know them. They are form the weak areas you have repeatedly know them.
  9. Number of vocabularies that you have learned from those “weak” areas.
    This number tells how many vocabularies from the weak areas you know them well now.

To Install:

1. Extract files from WELCM_SAT.zip.
2. Locate the program - FlipDeck.exe
3. Execute the program.
** You can make a short cut at desktop for easy access
** If you want a fresh (clear all statistic info) start, delete all files in Session folder

To Move to Other Location:

A. Create your own folder.
B. Locate the folder that contains FlipDeck.exe.
C. Copy FlipDeck.exe and all sub-folders to your folder.
D. Execute FlipDeck.exe from your folder.
** You can make a short cut at desktop for easy access
** If you want a fresh (clear all statistic info) start, delete all files in Session folder

To Remove:

a. Locate the folder that contains FlipDeck.exe.
b. Delete the folder and all sub-folders.
